ALETHA is looking for a hands-on Senior Data Architect who has experience and expertise in helping our clients to develop hybrid cloud data solutions in either Azure or AWS environments. You will be responsible for translating IT requirements and architecting a scalable data pipeline and/or assembling a set of components to create fully automated and integrated solutions on the cloud.
Responsibilities
Lead cloud data strategy and transformation, cloud data migration roadmap, or cloud-native data integration or processing architecture design based on client’s enterprise data strategy and industry trends.
Articulate business needs for data and analytics especially in the Financial Services Industry and Fintech sector.
Define data architecture (data definitions, data flows, identification of data sources and data consumers, business rules and transformations, and conceptual or logical data models) for client engagements.
Design and develop high performing data pipelines based on Microsoft SSIS or Azure Data Services.
Produce estimates for the data migration, design, development and testing.
Embrace Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Agile engineering practices in client engagements.
Review and guide the technical team's deliverables to ensure overall quality and compliance with the cloud architecture and business requirements.
Ensure that enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures are enforced in client engagements.
Lead, mentor, and coach the technical team on client engagements.
Assist with proposals and pre-sales activities.
Lead development to ALETHA’s intellectual property and best practices in Cloud Data Solution Architecture and Design, Cloud Delivery Frameworks or Process.
Foster and maintain close working relationships with clients.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science or Engineering
At least 10 years of professional experience in some of the following: database solution design and integration, cloud data integration, cloud infrastructure, and integration-platform-as-a-service.
Strong data warehousing life cycle and architecture knowledge (e.g. enterprise data warehouse, master data management, ETL, ELT, EAI, and data quality).
Strong knowledge and experiences in both Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling - with both Kimball and Inmon approaches.
Ability to develop conceptual and logical data models based on data and requirements analysis.
Ability to facilitate sessions with business and technical stakeholders for requirement elicitation or data model reviews.
Experiences in architecting or developing data solutions in either Azure or AWS especially based on Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics.
Working experiences in one or more of the following data integration tools: SSIS, Informatica, Talend
Strong SQL knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases and its languages: T-SQL, PL/SQL
Strong knowledge and experiences with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CD/CI) and Agile engineering practices.
Experience in one or more data analytics tools such as Microsoft SSAS/SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau.
Working knowledge in one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, Python, Bash, PowerShell
Familiar with capabilities of various platform services (e.g. Compute, Storage, Web, Developer, Integration, Data, Security, or Management) from the cloud vendors.
Good overall business knowledge in financial industries (i.e. one or more in retail banking, commercial banking, capital markets, wealth management, insurance, pension fund, and fintech).
Strong communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment.
Preferably familiar with business and data domains for customer relationship management, financial performance management, financial risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Preferably certified as an either Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner with Database Specialty, or AWS Cloud Practitioner with Data Analytics Specialty.
