ALETHA is looking for a Business System Analyst specialized in Payments who will work closely with our project teams to successfully deliver Payments and related system integration projects in the Greater Toronto Area.
Responsibilities
Define scope and requirements and analysis for a new modernized wire payment platform.
Gather functional, non-functional, and data requirements from various stakeholders and document them accurately and logically.
Facilitate solution design discussion sessions with key technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with development team for end-to-end project implementation, act as SME, manage product backlog, prioritize product needs, manage product roadmap, assist development, and support agile development teams. Lead product functional design based on business and user knowledge. Translate product roadmap features into user stories and acceptance test criteria.
Develop specifications for business processes, processing workflows, or data flows.
Verify the target solution and support the technology to ensure that the target system will meet the requirements.
Develop effort estimation for requirements elicitation activities.
Facilitate meeting/interviews and communicate requirements to sponsors, stakeholders and project team members.
As part of an operational team, investigate and assist in resolving data issues in risk systems.
Help and support other team members.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
At least 5 years experiences of business and systems analysis in the Banking areas and in requirement management, elicitation, facilitation and documentation.
Understanding and working knowledge of the payments processing life cycle and interactions among systems within a financial institution and with the SWIFT network.
Strong knowledge of high-value wire payments and the LVTS/Lynx platforms.
Working knowledge of SWIFT messages (MT, MX) and data attributes used in payments messages.
Experiences working one or more of these functional areas: payments processing and operations (institutional transactions or credit cards transactions), KYC, anti-money laundering (transaction monitoring, compliance requirements) and back-office operations.
Strong knowledge of relational data model and data manipulations using SQL.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in DevOps, application and/or architecture development.
Thorough understanding of both waterfall and agile methodologies and approaches.
Excellent in technical and business writing.
